This was a newly purchased house that had not been maintained in four years.
All the beds had become weed infested and overgrown, and the trees on the property needed major pruning.
The goal was to just clean everything out and make it easy to mow (not get wacked in the head
by low tree branches.) Once the homeowner has had a chance to settle in, then more plants can be added if need be.
3 days later, 60 yards of torn out/cut down material and 15 yards of installed Black Diamond Mulch,
we have achieved our goal. I tried a new product called PennMulch, its a fertilizer impregnated paper 'nugget.' On the areas
that I returned to turf, I applied the seed, raked it in and threw the PennMulch on top. After only 5 days the seed had germinated
to a height of a 1/2"! Truely the best experience I've had with seeding lawns.
