Plants

I grew up in the Vermont country side, enjoying the song of the RedWing Black bird, the loud croak of Bull Frogs, the nightly dance of lightning bugs and watching the breeze roll over the hills bending the meadow grasses and wildflowers in its wake.

My background in landscaping began in 1984 when I started working for a VT lawn maintenance company. While attending the Rochester Institute of Technology for Graphic Design, I part-timed with a tree removal company and I worked with a new lawn install & drainage company while living in Buffalo NY.
Green Mountain Landscape is a very small company with a huge can do attitude. I take pride in my work so don't ask me to take shortcuts. Rest assured, when the job is done, you will be happy.

I enjoy learning about new products and how to properly put them in, below is a list of some of this knowledge.
  • Pondless Waterfall Installation seminar by Aquascape Designs
  • Low-Voltage Landscape Lighting seminar by Unique Lighting Systems
  • Segmental Retaining Wall Installation (SRW) seminar by Versa-Lok
  • Certified: NCMA Level I SRW Installer by the National Concrete Masonry Association
  • Liquid & Treated Salt seminar by SWP Environmental
  • Allan Block Contractor Certification Training Program
  • Techo-Bloc Contractor Showcase

Yup, thats me

Pet Peeves: aka common sense

  • Snow plow contractors that push snow into the street
  • Snow plow contractors that don't angle their blades when driving down narrow street
  • Home Owners that snowblow their driveway into the street
  • Anyone that mows grass into the street, especially when I'm driving by
  • Contractors that install pavers without proper base prep
  • DIY shows that make it seem you can install big landscapes overnight and expect them to last
  • Anyone who pops any-ol-plant into the ground without consideration of just what that plant requires or will become (size wise)

There, I've ranted and feel much better....LOL
